Policies

All of us at Alburg RV Resort would like to thank you, our guests, for your patronage and cooperation. We hope you enjoy your stay and visit us again soon.

SPEED LIMIT: We enforce a speed limit of 5 MPH/8 KPH for the safety of yourself and others. This also serves to keep the dust and road noise down. We are happy to remind you if you forget but if it is noticed to be a constant problem, you will be asked to leave the campground.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT: We love greeting our guests, which is why we offer check-in times as early as 1:00 pm (2 pm for rentals). Check-out times are at 11:00 am, giving you plenty of time to sleep in. Please keep in mind that although we’d love you to stay, late departures are not available during our summer season and on holiday weekends. We do this to help ensure we can have the site cleaned and ready for incoming guests on time. Late check-out during our off-peak requires prior approval and is subject to a $15 per hour late check-out fee. You can easily avoid this fee by making sure you cleared off your site and checked out by 11:00 A.M.

CAR PASSES: Please place your car pass in your front window so we can see it when departing or coming into the park. We’re not as closely guarded as Oz, but we do maintain opening/closing times. The gate is closed and locked from 11:00 pm until 6:00 am, which ensures that you’re not kept awake by nighttime traffic.

CHILDREN’S CURFEW: Please have everyone under the age of 18 back at their campsite, or accompanied by an adult after 9PM.  When  street lights go on in the park its time for the kids to be on  their site!

BIKES: We love to see kids learning and riding their bikes. We want to foster and encourage all outdoor activities. That being said we do have a couple of ground rules for bike riding in the campground; there is to be no bike riding through the parking lot. This keeps everyone safe. We also require that if riding your bike after dark that there is a light on the bike. We strongly encourage reflective gear and helmets for everyone on two wheels.

DUMPSTERS: We can all help take care of our environment. Please place all trash in the dumpsters and recyclables’ in recycling bins in the refuse area. Please clean the campsite when you leave. Placing or burning trash in the fire rings or grills is prohibited..

FIRE WOOD: NO outside wood allowed on the premises.  Wood available for purchase at $22.50 per half tractor  bucket load.

QUIETNESS: Since this is a family resort, please maintain QUIETNESS between the hours of 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. If the campfire is too enticing to leave, we get it, but we ask that only quiet voices be used out of respect for those around you trying to get some rest. If noise is not kept to a minimum we will enforce the 11 pm quiet time.

ACCIDENTS: Regardless of the type of accommodations, all guests/visitors assume all risks and dangers incidental to their stay as well as damage to personal property including specifically but not limited to, the danger of being injured by insects or animals, of being injured while participating in recreational activities, and/or being injured as a result of inclement weather conditions, and agrees that the Alburg RV Resort its principals, owners, agents, and employees are not liable for injuries or property damage resulting from such risks and danger.

CANCELING RESERVATIONS: Though we certainly hope you don’t, if you find you must cancel your reservation, simply give us at least 10 days’ notice prior to your scheduled arrival date and we will return your deposit less a $25.00 cancellation fee. Sadly, even in cases of an emergency, we cannot refund deposits when a cancellation occurs within 30 days. Additionally, guests who shorten their stay are liable for charges on canceled nights and will incur a $10.00 change fee. A proper cancellation notice is required to avoid additional charges. Reservations which are made within 30 days of arrival are 100% non-refundable.

DOGS: It wouldn’t be a family camping vacation without the family pet! As such, we welcome friendly and well-socialized pets; unfortunately, owners who have pets displaying any form of aggressive behavior will be asked to immediately remove the pet from the property.  Please do not leave pets unattended.

We don’t allow wild or exotic pets (including livestock – sorry to your cow Bessie). All pets should be penned, caged, or restrained on a leash no longer than six feet, and they should be attended to at all times. Electronic-type fences are not permitted. Additionally, please inform your visitors that they are not allowed to bring pets into the campground. Keep in mind, for sanitary reasons pets aren’t allowed in the restrooms, laundry, store, or pool area.

And of course, bring plenty of poo bags so you can pick up after your pet!

GAMES: Shuffleboard, Cornhole, Mississippi, Ping Pong, Pool, Basketball, Football, and Horseshoes.  Equipment can be located at office.

SMOKING: We Strongly encourage a smoke-free area. That being said we know this isn’t the reality. There is absolutely NO SMOKING IN PUBLIC AREAS. Cigarette receptacles are located throughout the park. Please dispose of cigarettes in receptacles. There is a $10 dollar fine for anyone, seen by staff, dropping their butts on the ground. Using the receptacle is the respectful and responsible thing to do. Thanks!

MOTORCYCLES: Are not permitted inside the park and must be parked in the visitor lot.

MOTORIZED VEHICLES: We want to keep the noise down as much as possible, we love camping and the feel of nature all around us, for this reason, mopeds, motorized scooters, Segways, ATVs, etc., are not to be operated inside the park. Golf carts are for use by management only.

VISITORS: If you have visitors – and trust us, you will! – tell them that they’re bound by the rules of the campground. There is a $8 per person visitor fee.  $10 overnight. Visitors are required to register upon arrival and if they don’t they may be forced to leave. Visitors are not allowed to bring pets into the campground. All visitors must leave the campground by 10:00 pm, so be sure to keep an eye on that clock.

LAUNDRY: Dirt happens when you’re having fun. A Coin-operated laundry facility is available on sight at the restrooms. We request that you not hang clotheslines as they block the natural view around you. Please do not hang any clothing or beach towels on the fence at the pool.

HEATED POOL: Swimming Areas-For the safety of all of our guests please be aware that the pool and lake areas are not supervised, do not have lifeguards on duty, and use of these areas is at your own risk. A competent adult must supervise children under the age of 16. There will be no diving in the pool, no swimming alone, and no running inside the pool area. Glass containers, smoking, or pets are not allowed within the pool area. Swim diapers are required for all children who are not completely toilet trained. Pool Hours are from 9:00 AM-8:00 PM  daily. 8:00pm – 10:oo pm

DÉCOR: We appreciate your artistic expression. But please recognize that we are all different and enjoy different things, so please, no offensive decor and no excessive novelty decorations on your site.

WATER USAGE: even at the lake we want to observe water conservation so please NO washing of vehicles on your site.

BOATS/DOCKS: The boat docks that you see are not owned by Alburg RV Resort. Please be respectful and stay off of them. There is lake access and a boat lot to park your boat and trailer. Boats are to be placed in boat parking on the upper “A” street boat lot. No boats, sea-doos, trailers, etc., are allowed on your site.

PAYMENTS: We accept U.S. currency, personal checks, and money orders. We do not accept credit cards for long-term bookings. Credit cards may be used through the store and online booking but a service fee is charged. The service fee is out of our control and mandated by the state and credit card terminals. For your convenience, we have an ATM in the store.

WIRELESS: We offer wireless Internet which covers many areas of the campground. However, we are in a rural location and the Internet service here is likely not what you experience at your home and work. Please don’t expect to watch your favorite Netflix show, stream video from other services, or play online video games while on the property. There is limited bandwidth available to the campground. Further, when we’re busy (lots of people online) service can be very slow. Even so, after a few days, you’ll want to keep your phone and computer hidden away anyhow….you’re camping after all.
